I've been stopping by your blog since 2012 and I don't think I've ever commented. But sir, you have a daughter who's eyes and smile are worth a kingdom. Congratulations! Direliz
Congratulations Stefan. Great name for your daughter by the way. It will be interestning, if she will be so willfull like her namesake when she gets 13+ years old. I`m looking foward to your report in one and a half decade ;-). Wish you and your family the best and much joy with the new family member! Greetings from Harz, Hardy.
Good name. I named my first daughter Cordelia, after another noble girl that died too young. Sometimes I wonder what she'll think of that when she's old enough to understand.
Congratulations! No trouble from the German Standesamt using a name without precedent (a part from asoiaf)?
ReplyDeleteNot at all. The main conditions are that it's not degrading and clearly identifiable as a name, and that the sex can be determined by the name.
DeleteBesides, the name has precedent. It's not a common name, but it exists.
DeleteWow Stefan, she is beautiful! Let's hope for your sake she will not be as mischievous as her northern namesake. Herzliche Gratulation!
